Full Moon Mafia

Title: Full Moon Mafia
Genre: Romance, Supernatural, Mafia
Age rating: 17+
Release Date: 07/03/2023
Developer: Genius Inc.
Platform: iOS
Available on: Otomania app on App Store

The last time I played an otome game by Genius inc was Loyalty for Love which I enjoyed. I played a bit of this game and was pleasantly surprised how much the UI has improved and the translation is good too, compared to their older releases. Genius inc have impressively improved on the quality since releasing the Otomania app. I do miss the pay to play option games they released in the beginning, as I find waiting to collect diamonds in order to select the best choices is time consuming. Hence, I’m not a big fan of these free to play games that requires items.

Despite the choice system, I found the characters likeable and the art is great too.

Here are some other March releases on the Otomania app.

Sweetheart’s Bakery is the sequel to Loyalty for Love.

Title: Norn9 Var Commons

Release Date: 23/03/2023
Developer: Idea Factory
Publisher: Aksys Games
Platform: Nintendo Switch, PS Vita

I played this game a few years back when it came out on PS Vita. Looking back at a game that left a lasting impression. It delves into the unique world of a multi-MC otome game with not one, not two, but three love interests for each leading lady. With the added bonus of different personalities and backgrounds for each female protagonist, there’s a plethora of storylines waiting to be explored. From the passionate and mysterious to the reserved and gentle, these love interests span a wide range of ages and personalities, making for an unforgettable gaming experience.

Plot from official website:

One day, while on a school field trip, child prodigy Sorata Suzuhara hears a mysterious song, wanders off from his class, and blacks out. When he comes to, he finds himself in an unfamiliar place, and soon encounters a girl who informs him that he’s in Taisho era Japan!

She leads him to a ship she’s been waiting for in order to help him get home, but when it appears, it is not a wooden sailing ship, but a round aircraft that flies using technology beyond Sorata’s imagination.

Even stranger, he discovers twelve others – three young women and nine young men – are all supposedly espers with special powers, on some kind of journey at the behest of a multinational entity known only as The World.

What is the purpose of their journey? What is their destination, and what is The World? Before Sorata can even begin to take stock of his situation, the ship is attacked, and the mystery surrounding the ship only deepens. Delve into the story of the ship and its occupants through the point of view of each of the three girls, and unravel the mysteries trapped within.
